At Ready, Set, Dance, we believe in the true benefits and joy that dance brings to children. By fostering self-expression, imagination and helping to instill confidence, dance is a true gift.
​
We have been dancing for as long as we can remember. From twirling around our living rooms as soon as we learned to walk, to structured classes at the studio, where we have been dancing together since age 3.
Our collections of dance shoes and beautiful costumes have been growing over the last nine years; being tucked away in bins or in closets after the yearly competitions and recital have been completed. We wondered how these shoes and costumes could dance again? Surely other dancers had similar collections, and surely there are other children who would benefit from these no longer needed shoes and costumes. We decided that by donating these items to children who share our love of dance, but who may be unable to afford the costs that dance shoes and costumes often carry with them, we would be able to share the joy and gift of dance.
Ready, Set, Dance was born.

Ready, Set, Dance recognizes that not all children have the same opportunities as others. For many, dance is a luxury. But we know that dance can give children so much more than just technical skills. Dance is a form of physical fitness that helps build confidence, and is an outlet for expression that brings pure joy.
Every child deserves the gift of dance. Ready, Set, Dance wants to help foster opportunity for all children by providing shoes and costumes to those who might not otherwise be able to afford them. Ready, Set, Dance reaches out to the community for donations and then gives back by sending these donations to community organizations that can put them to good use.
Our children have had the opportunity to grow as dancers, let's pay it forward and allow others to do the same.
Sharing the gift of dance.
We are currently accepting gently used dance costumes and leotards, as well as new tights. Please make sure that all pieces of the costume are secured together with safety pins or put all pieces in a resealable (ziploc type) bag, so that nothing is misplaced.
